Cut-to-Length System

    The cut-to-length system was designed and implemented by PI Engineering.  This cut-to-length application came with a touch screen HMI and a in-house designed non-contact optical encoder (Optimeasure; see below).  With this new system in place, the company was able to increase production, improve information flow to their front office, and they were able to greatly reduce production costs. 

Optimeasure:

-  Optimeasure is a non-contact encoder replacement that was created by PI Engineering (patent pending).  It was designed as a solution for a client that needed to measure their    product during manufacturing, so that it could be cut-to-length and not handled twice.
